Bryan Lian, MS, RD, CEDS-S, CPCC is a well-being coach and dietitian/nutritionist at Stanford University, which sits on the ancestral and unceded land of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe. He identifies as a queer, cis-gendered, first gen college grad, second gen Chinese-American, temporarily able bodied, father/husband/brother/son. Bryan attended UCSF ‘17 and Rutgers University ‘10 for his MS in health administration and BA in nutritional and biological sciences, respectively, and completed his clinical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital. Over the last 10+ years, his ED experiences include inpatient, IOP/PHPs, multidisciplinary clinics, residential camps, and private practice. Giva Wilkerson is an experienced educator, eating disorder coach, yoga teacher and peer support provider. Having struggled with an eating disorder most of her adolescence and early adulthood, Giva recovered through a combination of therapy, activism and support from family and friends. These experiences, not only, shaped her perspectives on health, healing and social justice, they also fueled her passion to support others in their own recovery journeys. She began her work in the field of eating disorder recovery with Project HEAL in 2018 managing the Communities of HEALing network of peer support services, later growing and expanding the program after its transition to ANAD (National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders). Having completed her training with the Carolyn Costin Institute (CCI), as an Eating Disorder Coach, she combines her passion for connecting with others, with her dedication to providing healing to all in need. Her interests include eating disorder programs and services for BIPOC, peer support and yoga for mental health.

Nia Patterson is a well-respected Black and Queer mental health advocate, social activist, artist, content creator, podcaster, and business owner. They are the creator behind @TheFriendINeverWanted and artist behind @SelfLoveToolChest. They are also the host and producer of the Body Trauma Podcast you can listen to here and also on Instagram @bodytraumapod. Their work is mainly centered around the Eating Disorder Recovery, Fat Activism, LGBTQIA+, and Self Love communities. Nia is passionate about advocating for people in marginalized bodies and seeks to bring resources to those who do not readily see representation and healthcare for themselves.

Neathery Falchuk is a queer, genderqueer, Latinx therapist, licensed clinical social worker and supervisor, certified group psychotherapist, certified Body Trust® provider, and certified meditation teacher. Neathery is the founder and CEO of Ample and Rooted, an inclusive psychotherapy, consulting, and training practice specializing in working with LGBTQ+ communities, eating disorders, body shame, sex and sexuality, gender, relationship concerns, trauma, mindfulness, grief and loss, and substance use. Neathery is a past President of Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists, past board member and chair of the DEI Committee of Austin Group Psychotherapy Society, and past board member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health. Neathery lives in Austin, TX with their wife and enjoys hiking with their pups, meditation, sipping coffee on patios, and starting and never finishing books.

Pia Schiavo-Campo is a fat writer, feminist, style enthusiast, public speaker, and accredited transformational coach. Some of you might be familiar with her by way of public speaking or from features in Good Morning America, People magazine, and Yoga International Magazine. She is proud to have been named one of the top 100 Responsible Health & Wellness Influencers of 2020 by New Hope Network. Most recently she created a highly successful summit entitled Reimagining Health & Wellnes: Divesting from Diet Culture and Embodying Liberation, which featured 20 interviews with influencers, body liberation activists, healers, medical professionals, and nutritionists inhabiting marginalized identities. For the last twelve plus years, Pia has worked to empower women to take up space as both a literal and figurative approach to radical anti-fatness and anti-Blackness. Through her social media and speaking, she explores how the most marginalized identities in our society are impacted by the harms of diet culture, eating disorders, and conventional notions of beauty and health. Through her work, she seeks to challenge systems of oppression so that all bodies are treated with respect and have the ability to thrive. Pia is a Founding member of the Food Wellness and Equity Collective, an active Board member of Open Paths Counseling Center, and co-author of the book “Love It: 234 Inspirations and Activities to Help You Love Your Body.

Anthony works with clients who struggle with eating disorders; assisting clients in developing a healthy relationship with food. Anthony strives to establish a safe and supportive relationship with each client, allowing clients to explore their relationship to food without judgement. Anthony is passionate about exploring the emotions that are connected with food beliefs and behaviors that have often been formed throughout one’s lifetime. Anthony guides clients in finding their own motivation to change thoughts, patterns, and beliefs that may not be working for them any longer.

Anthony graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s in nutritional science. He completed his dietetic internship at the University of Arizona Medical Center and completed a sports nutrition internship at Exos. Anthony has received certification with IAEDP as a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian. Anthony has worked at all levels of care in eating disorder treatment with both adults and teenage clients.

Anthony is the lead dietitian for the virtual program of Alsana. He also works with clients in private practice.

Alexis (Lexi) Brown is a fourth year veterinary student studying in London. She completed her first degree in Animal Science at UC Davis where she was a division I college athlete. She has been featured on Fox 40, ESPN W, the Gymcastic podcast and more discussing the racism faced during her peaceful protest of police brutality during her college gymnastics career. Lexi has also been featured on an episode of My Black Body podcast sharing the ways in which her eating disorder was a survival strategy. Lexi has had an undiagnosed eating disorder since age 14. She has been making meaningful efforts to combat the influence of white supremacy’s trauma on her own body narrative. In her free time she enjoys traveling and cuddling with her fluffy opinionated cat.

Syd Yang is a mixed race/Taiwanese American queer trans/non-binary healer, recovery coach, spiritual counselor and writer who weaves together magic, possibility and intention as an energy healer in the world through their practice, Blue Jaguar Healing Arts. Syd is also currently in an MDiv program for Buddhist Chaplaincy, and recently got certified as a Movement Chaplain through Faith Matters Network. Syd's work finds its resonance in the stories we each hold at the intersection of memory, body, sexuality and mental health. Syd works primarily with queer and trans BIPOC individuals as well as regularly leads workshops, community healing circles and has been a group facilitator for over two decades, with a specific focus on grief, healing ancestral trauma, sexuality + spirituality, body liberation and eating disorder recovery. Their memoir, Release: A Bulimia Story, re-imagines what recovery for marginalized bodies could look like without shame.

Brittany Cannon is a fat, Black femme from the South. Mississippi to be exact! She taught English Language Arts for ten years in the public school system before transitioning into her current role. She serves as the Chief Program Officer at Ophelia’s Place, a non-profit that helps people learn more about eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, fat liberation and radical self love. With her work, she combines her experience in education with her passion for body liberation to help others identify and eradicate belief systems targeted at our bodies. Brittany has an immense desire for educating others on topics that spark deep self-reflection and that generate actionable and systemic change.
