Ben O’Keefe is a Forbes 30 Under 30 award winning social change activist, political commentator, and Head of Diversity & Impact Production at Creator+, a next-generation content studio and distribution platform for digital-first storytellers and creators.
His work finds him at the intersection of entertainment and politics, having worked with top organizations, brands, politicians, celebrities, and showrunners to build campaigns, make content, and execute strategies that make a bold impact on the world.
With an ability to create intimate conversations with large audiences, O’Keefe is a sought-after public speaker who discusses diversity, anti-racism, social justice, and conversations on LGBTQ+ equality and masculinity.
O’Keefe is perhaps best known for his viral campaign to hold clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch accountable for their past discrimination of plus-size young consumers, which helped contribute to the present-day body positivity movement and is heavily featured in the breakout Netflix flim "WHITE HOT: The Rise and Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch."
His campaign work also includes the #TakeDownTheFlag campaign to remove the Confederate Flag from the South Carolina Statehouse and from companies like Amazon and Wal-Mart, Alicia Keys’ Vote Love campaign, and the digital movement to save death row inmate Richard Glossip from execution amongst others.
O’Keefe served as Senior Creative Lead and Advisor for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign and as the Impact Producer for the film ALL IN: The Fight for Democracy from Amazon Studios, featuring Stacey Abrams and her fight against voter suppression.
In 2021, his podcast “Anti-Racism at Work” premiered on the Himalaya Network. With this podcast, O’Keefe explores the power you have to drive lasting human rights improvements and combat deeply ingrained racism in the workplace, and equips listeners with tools to build a workplace that gives all employees the opportunity to thrive.
O'Keefe is an alum of MoveOn.org where he was the youngest employee in the organization's history and of MTV News where he served as head writer of “DECODED,” a series on race and pop culture.
Currently O'Keefe serves on the Board of Directors of Project HEAL, the leading national eating disorder organization.
